Writer, journalist, author; wife, mother; not young, not old; not skinny, not round; Abi Amber has an appetite for life much bigger than her body can handle.
Involuntary collector of invisible illnesses (5 and counting), Abi counts Fibromyalgia, ME/ CFS and Transverse Myelitis amongst the chronic health conditions she juggles in order to live the semblance of a normal life (between naps!).
Often housebound, when she’s well enough Abi gets out and about to gigs and festivals, art galleries and battery-powered bicycle rides and country rambles thanks to an old ‘twist and go’ electric bike, a Shoprider Deluxe mobility scooter, a pair of Smart Crutches – and a certain determined obstinacy!
Colour enthusiast Abi Amber eschews moody fash-pack black in favour of cheerful brights and bolds. Not too serious and with a sense of fun, humour remains an essential part of her wardrobe – as do heels, sneaks, and crazy-ass footwear in general.
Live colourfully: Come to the bright side…
